  • Do you have a front desk?

    No. The Harriss is a staff-less, self-serve property designed for guests who prefer privacy and independence.

  • How do I check in?

    You’ll receive check in instructions and your personal access code by text on the day of arrival.

  • What kind of support do you offer?

    We provide quick support by text during support hours. For true emergencies (safety, fire, flooding), help is available 24 7.

  • Is The Harriss a good fit for me?

    The Harriss is ideal if you like a quiet, independent stay and are comfortable with self-check in.

    If you prefer a traditional hotel experience with a lobby, bell service, or in person assistance, you may be happier at a full-service property.


  • Do you have elevators?

    No. The Harriss is a historic building and does not have an elevator. If you prefer to avoid stairs, we recommend booking Suite 101, 102, 103, or 104, all located on the ground level.

  • Is Wi Fi included, and how fast is it?

    Yes, Wi Fi is included and complimentary in every suite. Speeds are strong enough for streaming, video calls, and remote work, and Wilson’s Greenlight fiber service is capable of delivering up to 3 Gbps in the area.

  • Do you have Smart TVs and streaming apps?

    Yes. Every suite includes a Smart TV, so you can stream your favorite apps during your stay. 

  • Do you provide toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash,)?

    We provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in every suite. 

  • Do you have onsite laundry?

    Yes. Washers and dryers are available at no charge in a common laundry area on the second floor, along with an iron and ironing board.


    In addition, all first floor suites include a washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board inside the suite.


    Please note: we do not provide laundry detergent.

  • Do you provide coffee and tea?

    We provide starter coffee with cream and sweetener for your first morning, along with complimentary welcome snacks.

  • Do you have rollaway beds or cots?

    No, we do not offer rollaway beds or cots. If you’re traveling with more than two people, we recommend Suite 101 or Suite 102, both of which include a pullout sofa bed. Suite 101 can accommodate up to six adults. All other suites have a maximum capacity of two guests.

  • How far are you from the Wilson Warbirds stadium?

    The stadium (Wilson Ballpark) is in downtown Wilson at 401 Goldsboro Street S, a quick walk or short drive from The Harriss.

  • How far are you from the Whirligig Park?

    Whirligig Park is about a 3 minute walk from The Harriss.

  • Are there EV chargers nearby?

    Yes. The City of Wilson has public EV charging in downtown parking lots, including Lot #1 at 207 Tarboro Street W (across from Whirligig Park) and other nearby locations. 

  • How far are you from I 95?

    Downtown Wilson is a short drive from I 95. Expect roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on which exit you use.

  • Do you charge a security deposit or incidental hold?

    Yes. We place a $500 incidental hold at check in, which is released at check out if unused.

  • Where do guests park?

    We offer complimentary designated parking in the large lot immediately to the left of the hotel. Park in any open Harriss space.  

  • Can I request early check in or late check out?

    Yes, when availability allows. Early check in is a $50 fee and late check out is a $50 fee.

  • Can I book multiple suites for a group?

    Yes. The easiest way is to book directly through our website, or contact us and we will help coordinate multiple suites.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations 5 or more days before arrival are no charge. Within 4 days, the charge is 50% of the total stay. Within 2 days, the full deposit is charged. 

  • Is The Harriss pet friendly?

    We love pets. The Harriss is pet-friendly with a $125 pet fee per stay. If you decide to bring your furry friend, we would be happy to host you both.
